Learning happens through doing, connecting, and trying new experiences. Our daily enrichment program, Gear Up, equips REVELers with essential skills for independence and then provides opportunities to practice them in real-world settings.

You can customize your schedule with the days and activities that work best for you. Check out our ACTIVITY SCHEDULE.
Gear up is for Denver-area adults 18 or older with autism or intellectual/ developmental disabilities. We welcome people looking to enhance their skills and connect with others.
REVELers learn in small groups (usually a 3:1 REVELer to coach ratio) and apply their knowledge in real situations.
Gear Up focuses on:
- Social relationships
- Exploring new interests and hobbies
- Career skills and interests through volunteering
- Health & wellness
- Daily living skills
- Skills vital to independence

GEAR UP Activities
Adulting 101
Autism and IDDs can make daily tasks feel overwhelming. In Gear Up, our day program, we tackle these challenges together, from meal planning and budgeting to grocery shopping and organizing chores and responsibilities for the week.
Health & Wellness
Because a healthy body leads to a happy mind wee teach crucial health and wellness skills to give REVELers the tools to thrive. From exercising and preparing healthy snacks to learning strategies for staying calm in busy settings, we teach the skills to maintain overall well-being.
Create
Because words can often be barriers for neurodiverse individuals, Create provides a space to express feelings and emotions, and ideas through art, offering a comfortable and empowering alternative to verbal communication.
EMPLOYMENT & VOLUNTEER
Getting a job is a big piece of bridging the gap to adulthood. In Gear Up, we focus on pivotal skills for finding and keeping employment. Plus, REVELers have a chance to practice and learn in the workplace, thanks to partnerships with local businesses.
Wanderlust – Exploring the World
Adventure is for everyone and with our wanderlust sessions we encourage and inspire a curiosity and enthusiasm for discovering unfamiliar landscapes, completing new challenges and meeting new people. This is where we step out of our comfort zones and are the highlights of the week for many of our REVELers!
Connection creates a more meaningful life. That’s why Gear Up, our daily enrichment program, isn’t just about building skills, it’s about building community. Our peer-based approach promotes positive social interactions and opens doors for fulfilling friendships.
